“To knowing your worth and never settling for less than you deserve.”

If you haven’t seen all the negative emotions surrounding this book online in the reading communities, then I’ll have to assume you have no social media or barely use it.

Ana Huang is one of the most popular authors on BookTok right now so obviously there will be a big commotion around all of her new releases. Unfortunately, her latest release seems to have attracted mostly negative reviews, which is what put me off of this book for so long.

However, I am happy to report that I really enjoyed this book!

While it still doesn’t punch as hard emotionally as her Twisted series, it was an improvement on King of Pride, which I did not enjoy nearly as much.

There is undeniable chemistry between Alessandra and Dom, and I devoured their banter scenes with a smile on my face. I was rooting for them to get back together after their separation, even though I think in some moments Alessandra was way too forgiving.

Dom’s whole character motivation also made him one of the more relatable love interests, which I appreciated. The ending of their story together ended on such a happy, heartening note that I couldn’t wipe the smile off of my face.

This book has given me some hope for the future releases of this series, and I’m so excited to see what Ana Huang has planned for Sloane and Xavier!
