The definintion of a dog breeding program: “A dog breeding program is an organized, intentional plan to mate dogs. Managed by breeders or organizations, it focuses on producing offspring with specific traits—such as health, temperament, conformation, or working ability—while prioritizing animal welfare and genetic diversity.”
So that being said – every breeder should ask themselves the question – what’s your line the sand for breeding? Meaning, what are you willing to incorporate into your program while still maintaining everything mentioned above?
