Hello animators and artists! This is Toon Boom Animation’s February Streaming Calendar, where we highlight our upcoming livestreams.
This month, we will be taking a close look at the craft and expertise that goes into 2D/3D hybrid productions, both in Storyboard Pro and Harmony Premium, with curated discussions and art streams. Buckle up for rigging 2D props with Joseph Watson, a panel discussion on storyboarding using 3D Assets with Charles Ratteray, Kaitrin Snodgrass, Mark Simon and Sergio Paez, as well as a Storyboard Pro art stream with Rene Rivers and Änis Pejaković.
Harmony Premium 24 includes enhanced features for 2D/3D hybrid productions, such as faster loading and manipulation of 3D models and a new toon shader to help 3D models blend in with 2D artwork. Artists can download a 21-day trial from our website.

Panel Discussion: Storyboarding with 3D Assets
Thursday, February 20 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM Eastern
Storyboarding is a hand drawn craft — but there are tangible benefits to importing 3D models and working with 3D stages. We invited four industry artists to discuss how they use the 3D features in Storyboard Pro, both on productions and in their personal work. Discussion topics include possible helpful for 3D assets in preproduction, when to consider using a 3D model instead of a drawing, how to find or build the right 3D assets, and how they approach the 3D camera tools in Storyboard Pro.
Our panelists include Charles Ratteray, Kaitrin Snodgrass, Mark Simon and Sergio Paez.
- Tune into the livestream from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM Eastern on Twitch.
