Our family enjoys eggs, and we eat them quite often.  Early in the morning…or late at night as a (teen) snack–I am often opening up the egg carton at our house.

And every single time I open that carton…my mood changes for the better, and for God

I can be rushing, or mad, or sleepy, or happy…but on the inside of our (store-bought) egg carton there is always a Bible verse that greets me, and without fail, it encourages me.

This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.  ~Psalm 118:24

Question: Who would think to put a Bible verse on the inside of an egg carton?

Answer: The egg farmers and followers-of-Christ at GoldHen Eggs, that’s who.  Their business is eggs, but their God is the Lord, and they proclaim Him boldly for the rest of us to see (and be encouraged by) on their packaging.

It’s encouraging in our faith to know that there are other Believers being bold in theirs.

Be vocal, be visible, and be unapologetic for the Lord today.

And let’s support Christian businesses!

Around my town, and probably in yours too, if you need a craft supply or a beautiful home decoration…your first stop is Hobby Lobby.  They have everything decorative, it seems, and the icing on their delightful-shopping-experience cake is that they are boldly committed to serving the Lord through their company.  Their “Our Story” page on their website proclaims:

We Are Committed To

    • Honoring the Lord in all we do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles.

Hobby Lobby has many products proclaiming Scripture, and at holidays they (boldly!) take out full-page advertisements in newspapers to share the hope and truth of Christ.

Question: Who would think to connect Bible verses with home furnishings and crafts?

AnswerDavid and Barbara Green, when they stepped out in faith and took out a $600 loan in 1970 to begin making miniature picture frames out of their home.

And then God grew Hobby Lobby.

It’s encouraging in our faith to know that there are other Believers being bold in theirs.

Be vocal, be visible, and be unapologetic for the Lord today.

And let’s support Christian businesses!

Ever had a (delicious and mouth-watering) burger and fries at In-N-Out Burger?  If you have never been: find one!  And while their food and service are outstanding, don’t forget to peek at the bottom of your cup and fry basket–to find a Bible verse!

Soda cups: John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Milkshake cups: Proverbs 3:5 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”

Burger or cheeseburger: Revelation 3:20 – “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

Double-Double: Nahum 1:7 – “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.”

Fry tray: Proverbs 24:16 – “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.”

Cocoa cups: John 13:34 – “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Question: What does a cheeseburger have to do with sharing the hope and truth of Christ?

Answer: Everything if burgers and fries are the career-path that the Lord has laid before you.

It’s encouraging in our faith to know that there are other Believers being bold in theirs.

Be vocal, be visible, and be unapologetic for the Lord today.

And let’s support Christian businesses!

From crafts to cheeseburgers to whatever you and I do today…the Lord has made us each special and unique…and with one purpose: to glorify Him and to share His hope.

We all do different work and enjoy different pastimes—Be vocal, be visible, and be unapologetic for the Lord today.

Then the Lord said to Moses, (2) “See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, (3) and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills— (4) to make artistic designs for work in gold, silver and bronze, (5) to cut and set stones, to work in wood, and to engage in all kinds of crafts.

(6) Moreover, I have appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, to help him.

Also I have given ability to all the skilled workers to make everything I have commanded you: (7) the tent of meeting, the ark of the covenant law with the atonement cover on it, and all the other furnishings of the tent— (8) the table and its articles, the pure gold lampstand and all its accessories, the altar of incense, (9) the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils, the basin with its stand— (10) and also the woven garments, both the sacred garments for Aaron the priest and the garments for his sons when they serve as priests, (11) and the anointing oil and fragrant incense for the Holy Place.
They are to make them just as I commanded you.”  ~Exodus 31:1-11

When it was time to build the Lord’s Tabernacle…God already had artisans assigned for that.  He has given us gifts too.

God has always equipped His people specifically and with unique purposes.  Have we found our purpose?  Glorify the Lord by doing it and working for Him and for His glory today.

It might be packaging eggs, or might be frying a burger.  It might be burping a baby or pouring concrete into a driveway or road.

  • Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might…  ~Ecclesiastes 9:10
  • And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.  ~Colossians 3:17

Question: What can we do to serve the Lord and proclaim His Name to others today?

Answer: Anything.  Fill in your own blank with the gifts that God has given you, and be vocal, be visible, and be unapologetic for the Lord today.

We can encourage others in their faith by being bold in ours.

And let’s support other Believers today!

…not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  ~Hebrews 10:25
