This catalog introduced a new model numbering system, replacing the original system where watches had a number allocated consisting of the catalog number, then product type, catalog page number, and a sequential number for product type. The old system resulted in different model reference numbers for every catalog and obviously created confusion for dealers. The new system introduced in this catalog is a four digit number, a dash, and a two digit number that would remain consistent across catalogs.
