Skyro_Skyro recognized for lending innovation in two Asia FinTech Awards 2026 categories

Skyro, a digital-first consumer finance group operating in the Philippines, has been named a finalist in two major categories at the Asia FinTech Awards 2026: FinTech of the Year and LendTech of the Year.

The recognition was announced during the Asia FinTech Awards ceremony held on August 21 in Singapore, which brought together companies, innovators, and industry leaders shaping the region’s rapidly evolving financial technology landscape.

Skyro’s recognition reflects its continued focus on developing lending products designed around the changing financial needs of customers. One example is Flexi, a feature that gives customers greater control over their loans directly through the app.

With Flexi, customers can move a due date, lower a monthly payment when finances are tight, or pay more to settle a loan faster—all in just a few taps and available instantly, anytime.

Putting Greater Control Directly in Customers’ Hands

While other lenders may still require customers to contact support to make changes to their loan arrangements, Skyro built this flexibility directly into its product experience.

The feature has already gained significant adoption. Thirty-one percent of eligible users activate Flexi, with more than 42,000 adjustments made every month. Around 130,000 customers have already used Flexi to make at least one change, with 87% rating the experience positively.

By allowing customers to align their payments with when their income actually arrives, Flexi can help them stay on track and protect their credit standing. At the same time, the feature supports stronger customer retention and portfolio performance for the business.

For Skyro co-founders Nasim Aliev and Arsen Liametov, the recognition represents an important milestone as the company continues developing financial products around the needs and realities of Filipino consumers.

“Being recognized by the Asia FinTech Awards reflects the impact of our efforts to create more flexible and customer-focused lending solutions,” said Aliev. “For us, innovation starts with understanding how people actually manage their finances and building products that can respond to those realities. This recognition encourages us to continue making financial services more accessible, flexible, and relevant to Filipinos.”

Liametov said the recognition further reinforces Skyro’s commitment to raising the standard for digital lending.

“As financial needs and customer expectations continue to evolve, lenders have to evolve with them,” said Liametov. “We remain focused on developing products and technology that give customers greater control, improve their experience, and expand access to responsible financial services. Being named a finalist in two categories motivates our team to continue pushing that work forward.”

Expanding Access to Digital Financial Services

Skyro’s growth is also reflected in its expanding customer and loan portfolio.

To date, the company has disbursed a total of ₱38 billion in loans, issued more than 2.7 million loans, and reached more than 7 million mobile app users.

These figures point to growing demand for accessible and flexible financial solutions in the Philippines, while highlighting Skyro’s continued expansion in the market.

With its focus on customer-driven product development, digital accessibility, and greater flexibility in lending, Skyro continues to build its position in the Philippine consumer finance space while pursuing its broader goal of making financial services more responsive to the realities of Filipino consumers.
