We are calling upon You, our Lord and Savior, for we know that You are always inclined to have Your ears hear us. We want to Thank You for rescuing us. We know You are hearing all of our prayers, and we are forever blessed to have You in our lives. You have promised to be with us forever. We will forever keep you close, Lord, and we will never let go. We hear you each day, and we will remain present in your presence so that you can speak to us. As devoted Christians, we will remain close and connected to you today and forever.
As a 74-year-old faith-driven Christian woman, I have come to believe that we can’t resist calling upon the Lord for whatever we might desire until He decides to call us home. My reason for this, I found, is written about in Scripture, and why I’ve chosen this for today’s reflection:
“Because He has inclined His ear to me, therefore, I will call upon Him as long as I live.”
To describe our commitment to the Lord can be explained as being in the words that we read in PSALM 17:6[NLT]:
“I am praying to you because I know you will answer, O God. Bend down and listen as I pray.”
Whenever we’re imploring the Lord to fulfill our desires at that moment, we need to wind up using the words found in PSALM 4:1 [NKJV]:
“Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.”
As Christians, by keeping close to the Lord and never letting go, we know He has promised to be with us; therefore, we are blessed to have a connection with Him in our lives today and forever.
