Rising DJ and producer oskar med k swung through Philadelphia on his ongoing headlining tour, giving fans a night they won’t forget.
Norwegian producer oskar med k struck gold with his 2025 hit “Make Me Feel.” The breakthrough single showcased his unique chill-house style and later led to a reimagining with superstar artist Khalid, known as “nobody (make me feel).” Since that life-changing release, oskar med k has used the momentum to drop a string of successful singles that led to his second album, “feel.”
2026 has been a year of firsts for the talent, from debuts at Coachella and Red Rocks to completing his first tour. With over 10 million monthly listeners on Spotify, oskar med k has amassed quite the fanbase. In the midst of his fall tour, I had the pleasure of attending his performance at Philadelphia‘s Franklin Music Hall.
The night started with an opening set from twin sister DJ duo me n ü.
As me n ü took the stage at 10pm, the crowd was sparse, with most fans gathering on the upper level, which was 21+ access. I came into the show unfamiliar with the duo beyond their unreleased collaboration with Jerro, but left a fan. Their set felt carefully curated, leaning into singalong moments that let the crowd connect with their music, whether they were fans or not.
The EMBRZ remix of “Lovely” by Billie Eilish and Khalid was bathed in purple and blue lighting, creating a magical moment on the dancefloor. me n ü had captured the crowd’s attention by the time they dropped their Alok collab, “Superrich.” Encouraging the crowd to wave their hands side to side, the now-filled room moved in unison to the melodic track. Closing out their set with an edit of “Searching” by James iD mixed with MGMT‘s “Kids,” me n ü had successfully warmed up the crowd and gained new fans with a playful “hope house” set.

The stage setup was understated, with seven mismatched lamps placed on the high-rise table that held his decks. The lamps synced with the music, their lights dancing in time. While I was originally disappointed that Philadelphia didn’t have the visual component from previous dates, I felt the stripped-back stage design played perfectly into oskar med k’s minimalistic production.
The crowd was mostly comprised of college kids and older electronic fans. It was evident that many attendees only knew snippets from TikTok and were there to hear a few viral songs. Beyond that, the younger generation’s fear of being perceived is killing the dancefloor. While many college-aged attendees stood in place, toward the back of the room veteran ravers danced with no care, waving around glow sticks.
Cell phones lit the room as everyone grabbed videos of the hit track “i’m way too self aware” and “CAN’T FIND YOU” with AVAION. A standout moment of the evening was Marini coming out to sing “half of you is not enough.” And to no one’s surprise, the crowd erupted once “Make Me Feel” came blaring through the speakers.
On two separate occasions, oskar med k faked out the crowd as he pretended the evening was coming to a close. The first fake-out transitioned the vibe of the set as he paused before dropping a club-ready track that had the crowd jumping off their feet. At the 90-minute mark, oskar med k left the stage only to return to cheers and play “Say No Prayer” to the remaining fans.
Silent and simplistic, oskar med k won over the crowd with his rousing performance in Philadelphia.
While the man of the evening spoke not one word throughout the evening, it wasn’t necessary. oskar med k let his music deliver the message, and it didn’t fall on deaf ears. From start to finish, the talented electronic producer created a stirring auditory experience that left me desiring another hour. From seamless transitions to the way the energy built throughout and his impeccable song selection, the evening ended as one of my favorite performances of 2026.
