Looney Tunes Movie Release Date Delayed as The Day The Earth Blew Up Shifts

The upcoming Looney Tunes movie The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie has been delayed, with its release date shifting back a couple of weeks.

When is the new Looney Tunes movie release date?

Representatives for the studio confirmed to ComingSoon that the movie had been delayed, with a new release date set for March 14, 2025. This pushes the film back from its originally planned date of February 28, giving the movie an extra two weeks of space before its new release.

“One of the greatest comedic duos in history, Porky Pig and Daffy Duck make their hilarious return to the big screen as unlikely heroes and Earth’s only hope when faced with the threat of alien invasion,” a description of the film reads. “The animated sci-fi comedy adventure is a richly-crafted story told on a scope and scale that’s out of this world, with all the laugh-out-loud gags, vibrant visuals, and beloved characters who make the Looney Tunes so iconic.”

The voice cast of the movie includes Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, Peter MacNicol, Wayne Knight, and Laraine Newman.

The film was originally developed for Max, but then was fated to be a content write-off for the company. Warner Bros. Animation was permitted to shop the film elsewhere, and after holding its world premiere at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June 2024, it was then acquired by Ketchup Entertainment.

The script was written by Browngardt, Darrick Bachman, Kevin Costello, Andrew Dickman, David Gemmill, Alex Kirwan, Ryan Kramer, Jason Reicher, Michael Ruocco, Johnny Ryan, and Eddie Trigueros. Warner Bros. Animation is the production company, while Browngardt and Sam Register both serve as executive producers.
