Alaska Lounge Improvement Program Continues with Anchorage Space – FlyerTalk

Staying true to their namesake, Alaska Airlines is improving the passenger experience by expanding their lounge at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

Alaska Airlines flyers traveling through Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) now have a new space to relax between flights.

The airline announced the renovation of the airport’s Alaska Lounge, doubling the seating and adding more space for travelers to relax.

New Space Includes More Outlets, Local Coffee, and Regional Artists

The new space is located at the airport’s Concourse C near gate C1. Expanded by 2,600 square feet, the lounge can now accommodate 140 seats.

Centering the Alaska Lounge is their food and beverage offering, which features seasonal food items and premium beverages curated from across the west coast of the United States. Those who would rather drink an espresso beverage can indulge in a drink made with locally roasted beans from Kaladi Brothers.

But the coffee isn’t the only thing local in the lounge. The space will also feature a rotating collection of pieces by local artists “who creatively capture the essence of the state in their work.” The artist program is a part of a partnership with Alaska’s Native Heritage Center.

Among the seating options, flyers can enjoy Signature Lounger chairs positioned in front of the tarmac to watch aircraft coming and going. More outlets can be found near seating, allowing flyers to keep charged before and between their travels.

While the refurbished space is part of the airline’s $60 million investment in projects across the state of Alaska, it also reflects the carrier’s dedication to improving the overall customer experience. Alaska will also open their largest lounge in Honolulu, followed by a space in San Diego and an international lounge in Seattle by 2027.
