visionOS 2.4 To Bring Apple Intelligence, Revamped Guest Mode, More To Apple Vision Pro

Apple is set to release visionOS 2.4 beta next week which will bring Apple Intelligence to Apple Vision Pro for the first time.

The rumor, which comes courtesy of Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, reports that Apple is bringing Apple Intelligence features to Apple Vision Pro for the first time with visionOS 2.4. visionOS 2.4 will be available in beta starting next week, with public version coming sometime in April this year.

Initially, Apple said that Vision Pro will not be getting Apple Intelligence because the M2 chip inside is already running at full capacity and will not be able to handle on-device processing required for Apple Intelligence. Later, the company said it will be coming to Vision Pro but after it has first released it for iPhone, iPad and Mac devices. It now seems like that promise is finally going to be fulfilled with visionOS 2.4.

Apple Intelligence on the Vision Pro will include standard features like the Writing Tools interface, Genmojis and the Image Playground app. It’s the first time Apple is expanding its artificial intelligence tools from the iPhone, iPad and Mac. Because the headset includes a Mac M2 chip and 16 gigabytes of memory, it’s able to support the on-device AI processing.

Bloomberg also reports that visionOS 2.4 will feature a revamped Guest Mode to make it easier to share Vision Pro experience with other users. Another change coming to Vision Pro as part of visionOS 2.4 will be a new spatial app which will include “3D images and panoramas aggregated from outside sources. The company has been slow thus far to release media for the headset, but the app is designed to spur interest in the spatial media category and drum up more use of the product.”

We will of course let you know when visionOS 2.4 beta is released next week. Apple is also expected to announce new iPhone SE next Wednesday, and we will reporting on both in detail come next week. Stay tuned to us for more on this space.
