When the ProAdvisor Awards were created, one categorical award recognized QuickBooks Desktop ProAdvisors, and another recognized QuickBooks Online ProAdvisors. That practice continued through 2022. But in 2023, structural changes in the the awards made it possible to recognize a QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise award in addition to the QuickBooks Desktop award. The two awards were part of the 2024 and 2025 awards structure.
Insightful Accountant’s 2025 ProAdvisor Application data revealed a significant decline in both the number of ProAdvisors supporting Pro and Premier and the number of clients being supported on Pro and Premier. The vast majority of ProAdvisors participating in the ProAdvisor Awards that continued to actively support desktop users were primarily focused on QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise clients.
The 2026 ProAdvisor Awards will see consolidation of the Desktop and Desktop Enterprise categorical awards.
