In season 3, ep 4 of Reacher: Dominique the big man is now a new number 2 for Beck. Before he can perform his first duty as the villain’s lieutenant, he goes through a bit of history for Duffy.
Later in the episode, it looks like that history may be repeating itself.

the story continued
This season of Reacher keeps dipping back into the past in terms of his dealing with the first death of Quinn. We also get to meet one of the first members of Reacher’s military team; Dominique Kohl. She has an analytic mind, a focused narrative and the ability to think on her feet.
We also meet Specialist Roland Gorowski, the guy that Quinn “turns’ by kidnapping Gorowski’s daughter. As Quinn begins to tighten a net around Quinn, Pvt Anthony ‘Tony’ Frasconi another new member of Reacher’s team.
Frasconi has a crush on Kohl and it will later get him in serious trouble. It also enables Quinn to kidnap the female CID and torture her.
At the end of the episode Reacher; as the new number 2, heads out to save the “new” Dominique.

it works
Everyone delivers here. Dominique Kohl, aka; Mariah Robinson, walks through Reacher’s door as a full character. We never doubt that this new CID recruit is exactly what she says she is.
The same hold true for Bazzocchi as Frasconi. His lovesick Private is spot on and he works well with both Ritchson and Robinson.
Hall is now settled very well in his “bad guy” shoes. While he has little to offer in terms of the overall arc of the episode, we know he is in charge here.
Brian Tee may well be able to write the villain guide book for his portrayal of Quinn. A dangerous narcissist who, at the edge of that cliff, does indeed appear to be afraid of death.
Once again, anyone of these actors; including Helen Taylor as Agnes, could give a masterclass on acting.
the verdict
Reacher, with the episode Dominique, is effortlessly hitting that 5 star target. The show is streaming every Thursday on Prime.
