Angela L. Crawford, PhD, is passionate about bringing her background in psychology to empower people toward plant-powered living for greater physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. She adopted a vegetarian lifestyle in 2007, for ethical reasons, and soon discovered the physical and mental health benefits of plant-based living. She became vegan in 2019, as she more fully realized the interconnectedness between our food choices and the well-being of humans, animals, and the planet.
She holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She previously worked as a psychotherapist for 25 years, empowering clients to make lifestyle changes to address stress and trauma and achieve holistic well-being. She holds certifications in Plant-Based Nutrition (T. Colin Campbell Institute for Nutrition Studies at eCornell), as a Master Vegan Lifestyle Coach and Educator (Main Street Vegan Academy), licensed Food for Life Instructor (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine), and Transformational Coach (Institute for Women-Centered Coaching).
As a Vegan Educator, she offers resources that empower people to transition to and thrive with a plant-based lifestyle. She offers courses, speaks at Veg Fests and conferences, writes a blog, and has written guest articles for Health Science Magazine (National Health Association), Main Street Vegan Academy, and New Mexico Vegan Magazine. Her areas of interest and expertise include thriving emotionally with a vegan lifestyle, overcoming barriers to healthy lifestyle change, the food-mood connection, awakening compassion, healthy communication, and mind-body-spirit flourishing.
Dr. Crawford is passionate about the power of personal transformation to create a more fulfilling, healthy, and purposeful life – and a kinder, more sustainable world. She is author of “The Vegan Transformation: A Journey to Heal Yourself and the World.”
