I’m so excited to launch my newest book: Raising Attention – A supportive guide for parents and carers of ADHD and explosive behaviour on July 3rd.
This book is so personal to me, in it I share my own family’s story of navigating ‘out-of-control’ behaviour, where gentle parenting doesn’t seem to work and battling for a diagnosis of ADHD. I’ve put off writing the book for a decade, as it felt so raw. I needed to proccess what we’d been through before putting pen to paper and I wanted to make sure my son (now an adult) could fully consent to me sharing his story.
The book is for anyone who is involved in raising, or caring for (yes, it’s great for those working in childcare and education!) a child with explosive, unpredictable, behaviour.
To celebrate the publication I am holding a very limited set of three launch events close to my home in South East England (sorry to those further afield, I’m always open to guest speaker invitations and am happy to travel to pre-organised events). These are being held in Bishop’s Stortford (very close to Stansted Airport and direct trains to/from London), Hitchin and Saffron Walden. The events last for 1.5 hours each, with an hour of me talking and half an hour of audience Q&A. I am not charging for the event, instead I am simply asking attendees to purchase a paperback copy of Raising Attention, which you will receive on the night (signed too!).
