About 36 of us worked on five separate projects in Sebring, FL. I overhead conversations from various team members of many amazing results achieved by the five work teams.
I was part of the work team who aided Mrs. Earleen. She has lived in her home since the 1970’s. She had a chain link fence that needed to be replaced, which was completely overgrown with vegetation. Her yard was also quite overgrown and had various construction debris that needed to be removed.
The team started working late Friday afternoon to remove the expensive vegetation covering the fence, fence posts, level the fence line, and install new posts. On Saturday we returned to continue to install about 60 feet of chain link fence and to do extensive yard work. Mrs. Earleen came out to visit with us several times to see the progress of the work. She had been afraid to use her back yard because of the brush and the presence of snakes and fire ants.
She was overwhelmed when she saw the transformation of her yard. She thanked the team with a big smile that warmed all our hearts with that special feeling that comes when we love our neighbors.
