Today was our first build day. The first house we stopped at is almost finished. The site foreman is getting a knee replacement tomorrow and we helped clean up the site and finish a few tasks in the house. Here’s a picture of the house where we worked.
We moved all of the leftover materials to the curb.
Next, we split into 2 groups. One group installed the shelves in the kitchen cabinets, finished putting up the fixtures, caulked doors, windows, and molding, and cleaned inside the house for the homeowner to move in.
The second group worked on expanding a deck and repairing a wheelchair ramp. They were not able to complete the job but they did complete most of the work. Local volunteers will finish the job.
