Most Popular TWTS Blog Posts of 2024

One of the most joyful parts of my job as a travel blogger is observing what you enjoy reading the most and which blog posts are the most helpful.

Now, I’ve decided I’m going to share this with you every year for two reasons:

  1. You, as a reader, decided to read my blog posts, which I’m very grateful for, and I want to let you know which blog posts are the most read and most helpful.
  2. It might inspire your future trips and see what others are planning.

To be honest, looking at last year’s numbers is quite sad. And that’s the case for every blogger out there, not just for travel bloggers. The reason is the rise of AI stealing content from travel bloggers and showing you just a snippet of gathered information (often wrong information, sadly, since AI is taking it from several sources, even very old ones that are not kept up to date).

But I love blogging, and I will continue as long as I see it’s helpful for you.

Please know I’m eternally grateful whenever you visit our blog. It shows me what you like so I can create more of that, and you reading our blog directly supports our little family business.

To you, my amazing reader, these are the 10 most popular blog posts from 2024.

The most beautiful lake in Canada gets harder and more complicated (read-more expensive) to visit each year, so I’m updating my guide every year to make your planning easier.

Winters might be long in Calgary, but that doesn’t mean they’re boring. I regularly look at our own list to plan fun activities.

I’m pretty sure Calgary has over 100 playgrounds, but our list includes only playgrounds that are inclusive or have cool features, such as zipline or tandem swing. And I’m going to keep adding more.

I’m so happy to see you’re enjoying reading about Angel Falls, one of my all-time favourites. I know a guide who visits Angel Falls regularly, so I always share up-to-date information about this stunningly gorgeous yet difficult country.

As you can see from previously mentioned day hikes, day trips from Calgary are very popular. We’re lucky to live close to many cool places, whether it’s the Rockies in the West, Cowboy Trail in the South, or Badlands with canyons and dinosaurs in the East.

I’m surprised to see this blog post on the list as #5. I wrote it for fun, but I admit I used several quotes on Instagram and in our photobooks.

We personally completed all hikes mentioned which are nicely organized from easy, moderate to hard, and pinned on a google map.

Every hike has its own blog post if you need more info and want to read about our experience. While I loved them all, my absolute favourite is Iceline Trail in Yoho National Park.

The amount of indoor playgrounds in Calgary is insane! And there are still more opening up. They’re perfect during unbearable temperatures in Calgary (I’m looking at you, February, and your usual -25C temperatures) and short winter days.

As you can see, being in the 3rd place, the winters are long, since blog post about outdoor playgrounds is further down on the list.

Neighbor to Bali, Lombok is one of my favourite islands and believe it or not, for such a small island, it’s still important to know where to base yourself so you don’t spend a ton of time in the crazy scooter traffic.

This has been THE most popular blog post ever since I published it in 2021. Because I regularly check similar topics, I’m confident this is the most comprehensive list of activities for kids in Calgary you can find.

If you’d like to know which blog posts are a bit further down on the most popular scale, here are spots 11-20:

  1. 45 Fun Things to Do in Calgary in Summer
  2. 44 Interesting Facts About Colombia That Will Surprise You
  3. 101 Adventure Quotes (With Photos) to Inspire You to Take Action
