Alan Campbell to Change Hearst Stations. Sets Move to WESH in Orlando

Alan Campbell will join WESH 2 NEWS Sunrise as a morning anchor beginning in June.

This is a move from within Hearst Television for Campbell, who comes to the Orlando, Florida NBC affiliate from Hearst’s WBBH Gulf Coast News in Fort Myers, where he served as a morning anchor.

“I am excited to be joining the team at WESH 2, a station that has the reputation for quality journalism and local coverage. I look forward to making Central Florida my home and being a part of this vibrant community,” said Campbell.

Campbell started his journalism career in Charleston, South Carolina, and went on to work as an anchor in markets including Rio Grande Valley, Texas and Detroit, Michigan.

“We are thrilled to welcome another experienced and accomplished journalist to the WESH 2 News team. Alan’s passion for storytelling, paired with his energy and expertise, will be invaluable in helping our audience start their morning informed and ready to tackle the day ahead,” said Stephanie Linton, WESH news director.
