Campbell’s continues to promote soups as a thrifty ingredient to the present day. The company’s website features 311 recipes that call for a can of Campbell’s, including Chicken in a Hurry, made with cream of mushroom soup, and One Dish Mexican Chicken, Rice & Beans—easily whipped up with a can of condensed cheddar cheese soup.
For the record, Campbell’s still has a spaghetti recipe, though it’s not the one from 1916. Its spaghetti carbonara (made with a can of condensed cream of chicken) feels a lot more up to date anyway.
