American Airlines B737 catches fire at Denver Airport: video


An American Airlines aircraft caught fire at Denver International Airport (DEN) on the evening of March 13, 2025.

The Boeing 737-800 plane, operating as flight AA1006, was en route to Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) from Colorado Springs Airport (COS).

The flight departed Colorado Springs at around 16:37 local time, and shortly after, the aircraft performed an emergency landing at Denver Airport at around 17:55 local time.

Several video footage captured the incident, showing smoke billowing out of the plane, while passengers are seen standing and balancing on the plane’s wings as ground staff help them get on the ground.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said that emergency slides were also used to bring passengers safely to the ground.
