Delta Air Lines has unveiled a special Centennial-themed edition of collectible trading cards as the airline celebrates its 100th year.
Delta was founded on April 15, 1926, and is the oldest active American commercial airline.
In 2003, the airline began to release trading cards that can be obtained by asking a Delta Air Lines pilot. The very first set featured a limited-edition MD-11 card as part of the aircraft’s retirement in 2004. Since then, Delta has expanded the collection to include seven series and 68 unique cards.
The trading cards have since become popular amongst the trading and flying community, with an under-the-radar following.
