Dubai International Airport (DXB) has recorded its busiest ever year to seal ten years of dominance at the top, according to the Airports Council International (ACI).
On January 30, 2025, Dubai Airport posted annual figures of 92.3 million guests in 2024, surpassing its previous all-time high of 89.1 million in 2018.
Last year saw 200,000 more passengers use Dubai Airport than had been expected, with December 2024 emerging as the busiest month with 8.2 million guests.
This is the tenth year in a row that the Airports Council International has awarded DXB the title of the world’s busiest airport. However, in previous years alternative industry reports have recorded Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) as the international front runner.
Dubai Airport said that it is aiming to reach the milestone of 100 million annual guests by 2027.

Over the last ten years tourism has surged in Dubai, with visitors from all over the world attracted to its hotels, entertainment and warm climate. Since 2014, DXB has welcomed more than 700 million guests on over 3.3 million flights
