Emirates invests $2.4 million in next gen medical equipment


Emirates has invested more than $2.4 million to upgrade its onboard medical equipment that will allow its passengers to receive speedy medical care in the air.

The Dubai-based carrier has partnered with French medical equipment manufacturer Parsys Telemedicine in designing the next generation apparatus which will be rolled out on more than 300 aircraft in the coming years.

According to Emirates, the ‘telemedicine station’ has advanced features such as high-definition video conferencing, remote passenger assessment, secure data transmission and 12-Leads Telecardia ECG, enabling Emirates’ cabin crew to save lives in emergency situations.
