Gulfstream Aerospace has delivered its 50th G700 aircraft a little over a year since the executive jet was first certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
Gulfstream said on May 20, 2025, after entering service in April 2024 the G700 operates globally, and the fleet has accumulated more than 11,700 flight hours.
Gulfstream announced on March 29, 2024, that the G700 had obtained its type certification from the FAA and received approval by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) around a month later.
The first two brand-new ultra-long-range G700s were delivered to US customers shortly after FAA certification.
Gulfstream took the decision to stockpile the aircraft while awaiting certification and in 2023 said it had more than 30 ready to deliver to customers.
“Demand for the G700 continues to grow, and this aircraft is exceeding customer expectations with each new delivery,” said Mark Burns, President, Gulfstream. “Reaching 50 deliveries at this stage in the program is a testament to its unparalleled maturity and the quality of our advanced manufacturing and outfitting techniques.”
Burns added: “We look forward to even more customers experiencing the dynamic performance, innovation and comfort this industry-leading aircraft provides.”
One of the biggest customers of the G700 is Qatar Executive, the private aviation arm of Qatar Airways.
According to ch-aviation, Qatar Executive currently has seven G700s in its fleet with three more set to arrive throughout 2025 and early 2026.
Designed to carry up to 19 passengers, the G700 has a top speed of Mach 0.935 and a range of up to 7,750 nautical miles (14,353 km) when cruising at Mach 0.85.
To date, the G700 has achieved more than 80 city-pair speed records covering distances between Taipei (Taiwan) and Miami (US), and St. John’s (Antigua) and Dakar (Senegal).
Gulfstream announced on April 16, 2025, that the G800, its newest ultra-long-range executive jet, had received its type certification from both the FAA and EASA.
The G800 replaces the G650, which left Gulfstream’s assembly line in Savannah, Georgia, in February 2025, for the final time.
