Jetstar Asia has officially launched its inaugural flight from Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) to Komodo International Airport (LBJ) in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.
Flight 3K26, which took off at 16:43 local time on March 20, 2025, marks the first commercial airline service between the two destinations. The A320 arrived in Labuan Bajo at 19:52 local time. The flight was delayed by two and a half hours.
Jetstar Asia will operate two flights per week to Labuan Bajo, which is located on the island of Flores, home to the famed UNESCO World Heritage site, Komodo National Park.
Labuan Bajo is Jetstar Asia’s fifth Indonesian destination, in addition to Denpasar’s I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), Surabaya’s Juanda International Airport (SUB), Medan’s Kualanamu International Airport (KNO), and Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in Jakarta.
“It’s great to connect Labuan Bajo directly to Singapore, enabling more people to visit one of Indonesia’s most stunning and unique destinations,” said Jetstar Asia CEO John Simeone..
“From exploring the vibrant coral reefs and scenic landscapes of Flores to encountering the iconic Komodo dragons, this new service makes Labuan Bajo more accessible than ever, helping to boost tourism while providing a convenient travel option for those looking to explore more of Indonesia,” Simeone added.
“This is Changi’s first direct link to this natural paradise,” said Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President for Air Hub & Cargo Development, Changi Airport Group.
Lim added: “This new route not only boosts Changi’s connectivity to Indonesia, it also strengthens our network in the region. With direct connections to 13 Indonesian cities now available from Changi Airport, travellers can explore the unique charm and unparalleled beauty of Labuan Bajo and beyond.”
