Malaysia Airlines has unveiled a new Manchester United Airbus A330neo livery as part of a major update by the flag carrier at MATTA Fair 2025 in Kuala Lumpa.
Former Manchester United players Dimitar Berbatov, Nemanja Vidić, and Luís Nan joined the celebrations as Malaysia Airlines revealed the new livery in an adrenaline pumped video.
The A330-900 livery combines red lines flowing from the Malaysia flag and the football club’s iconic red, in a design that “symbolizes harmony, strength, and unity between aviation and sports—two forces that inspire and connect people worldwide”.
“This marks a bold and exciting new chapter for Malaysia Airlines, as we unite the passion of sport, the spirit of innovation, and the pride of our nation. Our partnership with Manchester United embodies shared values of excellence and global ambition,” said Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG).
Malaysia Airlines was announced as Manchester United’s official commercial airline in a new multi-year global partnership deal in March 2024.

The partnership followed a pervious tie up between Manchester United and Aeroflot that was terminated following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Among the other announcements on April 18, 2025, Malaysia Airlines confirmed that it was returning to Brisbane, Australia, by reinstating direct flights to Queensland from November 29, 2025.
The airline said that the return of flights to Brisbane will complement increased frequencies to Sydney and Melbourne with selected routes set to be served by the new A330neo fleet.
The airline has also increased flight frequencies across its Asia-Pacific network, with added services to popular cities such as Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Surabaya, Phuket, and Trivandrum.
At MATTA Fair 2025, Malaysia Airlines also previewed its new lie-flat Business Class seats for the Boeing 737 MAX 10 in a first for its narrowbody fleet.
Malaysia Airlines has 10 Boeing 737 Max 10 aircraft on order with the jet set to enter service in 2026.
