Thermo-fluid System Engineering Intern With Focus On Clean Energy

SoftInWay is involved in the development (through consulting services, software development commercialization, and training) of turbomachinery and thermo-fluid systems across a wide range of industries and applications, including propulsion, power generation, heating and cooling, and more. Across these, the goal is always to develop better technology to improve system and component performance to use as little energy as possible. For each of these, specific areas of our business deal with clean energy, including for example electric and hybrid propulsion for aerospace and automotive, fuel cells/electrolysis and geothermal power generation, heat pumps for renewable-powered heating and cooling, and more.

Interns will participate in programs related or like the aforementioned, based on the company’s internal and external interests at the time of hiring.

Daily responsibilities may include:

  • Literature research to understand market and technology
  • Modeling thermo-fluid systems for clean energy applications for consulting clients and/or internal use, including use cases development, webinar contents preparation, and more
  • Supporting existing customers with their design and modeling challenges
  • Extending our technical team on an as-needed basis.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in Master’s degree program in Engineering.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passion and desire to learn new technologies and techniques related to turbomachinery, thermo-fluid systems and clean energy.

Location: Burlington, Massachusetts United States

Workplace Type: Primarily on-site work

Hours Per Week: Full Time (32+ Hours Per Week)
