The third edition of the Airbus Summit opens today as industry leaders and experts meet to discuss the future of aviation and pioneering sustainable aerospace.
The two-day event begins on March 24, 2025, in Toulouse, France, with speakers including Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury set to take to the stage.
On day one Faury will chat with Bertrand Piccard, Chairman of the Solar Impulse Foundation, about the “current state of global climate objectives” and explore the “balance between ambition and pragmatism in developing decarbonisation technologies”.
Airbus says the event is designed to bring together experts from around the globe to shape a “constructive dialogue about where aviation is today and where it is heading in the decades to come”.
“Airbus is committed to shaping the future of aerospace through innovative design, cutting-edge technologies and novel engineering. But we cannot do it alone. Cooperation and collaboration are the guiding lights that will keep the industry on track to achieve its decarbonisation goals,” said a spokesperson for Airbus.
On the agenda will be an update on the status of Airbus’ hydrogen-powered ZEROe aircraft project and news on the “promising technologies” the company are developing for the next-generation single aisle, the eventual successor to the A320 family aircraft.
Subjects under discussion include “Harnessing the power of responsible AI”, “SAF in focus: what’s next for aviation fuel” and “Identifying, investigating and mitigating non-CO2 emissions”.
Airbus will also showcase some of its recent innovations for attendees to experience firsthand, including the Racer helicopter demonstrator.
