


The head coach of Liverpool, Arne Slot has reacted to his team’s exit fro the second round of the UEFA Champions League.
The Premier League leaders were eliminated from the most prestigious club competition in the world by PSG on penalties after playing 180 minutes of impressive football. The game ended 1-1 after two legs, it had to take the lot of the penalty shoot-outs before a winner could emerge with the Parisians winning 4-1.
Arne Slot was graceful during his post-match press conference giving praises to both sides, he tagged the game one of the best he had managed in his coaching career.
“Over 90 minutes, I don’t think we deserved to lose. Over 180 minutes, it was fair to go to overtime. In overtime, PSG was better. It was the best game of football I was ever involved in. I don’t have the history like Liverpool, as a manager”.
Attention will shift to the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United at Wembley stadium on Sunday, March 16, 2025 as the continue to press for the Premier league title in Slot’s first season. On the other hand, PSG will continue in their quest to win the Champions League for the first time.
