Magixx makes surprising revelations while promoting debut album ‘I Dream In Colour’

Nigerian singer Alexander Adelabu, popularly known as Magixx, has made a series of surprising revelations while promoting his upcoming debut album, I Dream In Colour.

Taking to X, the Mavin Records artiste disclosed that the last track on the album was inspired by a traumatic experience with a childhood friend who once threatened his life. “The last track on my album was because of my childhood friend that threatened to get me killed,” he wrote.

Magixx also shared details about some of the songs on the debut album and their inspirations. He revealed that he is currently dating three women and that track 3 is dedicated to them. “My amazing three girlfriends are the reason I made track 3. I want to @ you all, but you know yourselves. I love you,” he tweeted.

He further mentioned that tracks Bad Decisions and Foreplay were inspired by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Veeiye.

Additionally, Magixx hinted at a major milestone in his career, stating that after his first conversation with Nigerian rap icon Olamide Baddo, he was inspired to create track 12.

The singer also teased track 8, expressing confidence that it will earn him comparisons to Afrobeats superstar Wizkid. He humorously told music executive Don Jazzy that if he ever gets married, he would perform the song at his wedding. “Don Jazzy, in case you ever fall in love, I’ll be performing TRACK 8 at your wedding,” he wrote.

Magixx’s revelations have generated significant buzz online, with fans eagerly anticipating the release of I Dream In Colour and the stories behind each track.
