Mercy Chinwo breaks silence over lawsuit against her former Manager Eezee Tee
Popular gospel singer Mercy Chinwo has spoken out about her tumultuous relationship with her former manager, Eezee Concept, accusing him of attempting to make her life difficult after their fallout.
In a video shared online, Mercy detailed her ordeal, recounting how the dispute began when she refused to sign a 2019 contract, which she described as fraudulent. Her refusal to comply reportedly led to a series of challenges, including allegations of bullying and attempts to tarnish her reputation.
Mercy revealed that Eezee Concept allegedly went as far as paying bloggers to spread false stories about her, forcing her to relocate to Lagos in search of peace. The ordeal has taken an emotional toll on the singer, who expressed her sadness and the burden she has carried throughout the conflict.
In her heartfelt post, she wrote: “I am overwhelmed with sadness every single day, and I cannot even explain it all. This burden is too heavy for me to bear. People call me names, accuse me unjustly, and paint me as someone I am not. They say I broke the contract, that I never did, despite all the frustration. They label me as something I could never be.”
Mercy, however, placed her faith in God for vindication, quoting scripture to emphasize her belief in divine justice: “‘The Lord is a God who avenges. O God who avenges, shine forth. Rise up, Judge of the earth; pay back to the proud what they deserve.’ (Psalm 94:1-2). My heart cries out to Him because I believe He will fight for me and make the truth known. I leave it all in His hands.”
The public fallout between Mercy Chinwo and Eezee Concept has sparked widespread reactions, with fans and followers rallying around the singer, offering prayers and words of encouragement.
