Rubber Neckyoke Award Winners
To all at the Journal, from Scotland
Thank you for all the hard work you do in promoting what was a disappearing life… I say “was” because even here there is small shoots of recovery. I thought you might be interested in the foto of a machine I made for rejuvenating pasture. Old meets new meets old again… the old is the seed box which is circa 1930s, the new is the slitter and the old is the lifting gear I replaced the hydraulic ram with… too much hassle to put hydraulics on my hitch cart, which is a blatant copy of yours I got in the Handbook by the way.

We were sent these pictures by Tony Wallbank of Ontario, Canada and were so impressed that we decided to make this invention the co-award along with Andrea’s above. In Tony’s words:
“Here is a good idea for a quick change tongue from a team to three abreast. The first image shows regular two horse evener; the next image shows the tongue being rotated after pulling with his right hand the spring loaded pull pin; and the last two show it in the three horse position. The spreaders are manufactured by EMB Mfg Inc.”
