WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Society of American Foresters (SAF) annually recognizes individuals for their outstanding achievements and significant contributions to forestry and natural resources. This year, Songlin Fei, director of Purdue University’s Institute for Digital Forestry and the Dean’s Chair in Remote Sensing in the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources, was selected as the recipient for the SAF Award in Forest Science. This accolade acknowledges his exceptional research productivity and quality, his innovation and impact, as well as his exemplary leadership skills.
