Business class is cheaper than Premium economy, Premium Economy is cheaper than Economy on certain routes!

These were from BLR to MRU (Mauritius) for sometime in March 2025. You can try your luck for other destinations and dates.

Why this happens?
Possible reason 1:
Economy sub class is sold out- like Air India pricing manager would have set something like
- Economy first 20 seats 15000 INR, next 20 seats 20000 INR, next 20 seats 28000 INR &
- Premium Economy: First 2 seats 16000, Next 4 seats 22000, remaining seats 35000
Now cheapest economy seats are sold out, triggering next slab while premium economy seats are not yet taken.
Possible reason 1: Human Error
