
The airBaltic airline expansion continues in 2025, Latvian airline airBaltic continues its high level of performance in 2025 with February record passengers. The airline carried 289,500 passengers across all its bases in the previous month, which is a 4% increase in flights over the same period last year.
Flights also grew by 5% to 2,970, and load factor grew by 0.1 percentage points to 77.1%.These figures represent the highest February passenger numbers in the airline’s history, reinforcing the ongoing airBaltic airline expansion.

In addition to its growth in passengers, airBaltic was the first European airline to offer free high-speed SpaceX Starlink internet in February 2025 . This is in a bid to enhance the passenger experience and attract more travellers by introducing a new era of seamless in-flight connectivity network.

As part of its ongoing expansion, airBaltic has unveiled increased frequencies to Amsterdam from each of the Baltic’s three capitals—Riga, Tallinn, and Vilnius—from March 30, 2025. This expansion makes flying easier for passengers travelling between the Netherlands and the Baltics and further boosts connectivity to onward destinations across the world through one of the largest European hubs.
airBaltic operates more than 130 routes out of its bases at Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere and seasonally at Gran Canaria.
