I’ve attached a screenshot of the QRH for the B744 HYD PRESS SYS 1,2,3,4 checklist.
In the event that only SYS 1 has failed you get to the statement I have circled. It states not to use AUX 1 hyd pump which makes sense, but also implies using AUX 4 pump is also forbidden even if only SYS 1 has failed.
Is that statement meant only to apply if SYS 4 has failed (you would read the same page of the checklist if only SYS 4 has failed), in which case you’re supposed to disregard the implied prohibition on AUX 1?
