Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport has launched a public procurement process for expert supervision of construction works as part of the second phase of the terminal building expansion. The project comprises two subphases: 2.1 and 2.2. The current procurement concerns Subphase 2.1, which, as outlined last week includes the extension of the C concourse (gates C15–C17), covering a total area of approximately 5.800 square meters. Construction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025 and be completed in the first half of 2027.
According to the project documentation, “The facility is intended to serve as a waiting area and provide access to boarding/disembarkation gates. The ground floor is mostly open-plan, supported by a reinforced concrete frame with vertical circulation cores for staircases and evacuation elevators. A section of the ground floor is designated as a technical area, forming an independent spatial and functional unit. The remainder of the ground level will be used for airport service road access. The first floor is organised as an extended passenger corridor, continuing directly from the concourse built in the previous phase, forming a seamless spatial unit. In addition to the main corridor, it includes waiting areas and commercial zones arranged in an open-space layout. Three gates will be available for boarding via airbridges – C15, C16 and C17 – each equipped with its own boarding checkpoint. Arriving passengers will use the same gates but will immediately be directed to the vertical communication cores leading to the second floor. The second floor features a corridor that guides arriving and transfer passengers to the terminal’s transfer point. Unlike the first floor, this corridor has no additional facilities such as waiting areas or retail units”.
Bids for the supervision contract must be submitted by August 12.
