If you are planning a trip this year with Delta Air Lines, now might be a good time to look at their credit card offerings.
The airline and American Express announced new bonus miles opportunities for new cardholders of the Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card, Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card, and the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card.
Earn Up to 100,000 Bonus Miles After Hitting Purchase Goals
The limited time offers are available now through April 2, 2025. The total amount of bonus miles you could receive is based on the card they apply for.
For the Delta SkyMiles Gold American Express Card, consumer cardholders could earn 80,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 in purchases on the new card in the first six months of card membership. On the Delta SkyMiles Gold Business American Express Card, the bonus miles go up to 90,000 after spending $6,000 in purchases on the new card in the first six months of card membership.
On the Delta SkyMiles Platinum American Express Card, the consumer version offers 90,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 in purchases on the new card in the first 6 months of card membership. The Delta SkyMiles Platinum Business American Express Card offers 100,000 bonus miles after spending $8,000 in purchases on the new card in the first six months of card membership.
With the top-tier Delta SkyMiles Reserve American Express Card, consumers can earn 100,000 bonus miles after spending $6,000 in purchases on the new card in the first 6 months of card membership. On the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business American Express Card, business version of the card, members can earn 110,000 bonus miles after spending $12,000 in purchases on the new card in the first six months of card membership.
With each of the above offers, terms apply.
In addition to the bonus miles and earning SkyMiles for qualifying spending, the cards come with a variety of additional benefits. Cardholders can take advantage of rideshare credits which can be earned after using your enrolled Card on U.S. rideshare purchases with select providers, and a Delta Stays credit which can be earned after using your card to book prepaid hotels or vacation rentals through Delta Stays on delta.com/stays.
The Delta SkyMiles American Express Platinum, Platinum Business, Reserve, and Reserve business card also come with a Medallion Qualifying Dollars (MQDs) headstart credit. Cardholders receive $2500 MQDs to get closer to Medallion elite status for the qualifying year.
