Delta Air Lines has unveiled its newest lounge offering within the Sky Club network – a reinvigorated respite in the heart of the world’s busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). It’s no surprise that this isn’t the airline’s only lounge in the airline’s main global hub. In fact it’s one of no less than 8 Delta lounges at ATL, this one situated in Concourse D-Center Point.

At over 24,000 square feet, this is Delta’s second-largest lounge at ATL yet its the most spacious by guest capacity, with seating for just a fraction over 500 travellers. This lounge is the latest to feature the airlines’ latest design language which is more akin to a private members club than traditional airport space, trying to elevate the travel experience for its most loyal of members.

Upon entering, guests are enveloped by a design narrative deeply rooted in Atlanta’s identity. The space blends clean architectural lines with natural textures, drawing inspiration from Atlanta’s nickname, the “City in a Forest.” A striking custom tile mural depicting lush greenery sets the tone behind the food area, echoing the organic serenity often overlooked in busy airports.

Art plays a central role in the space, transforming the lounge into a curated cultural experience. Atlanta muralist Ryan Coleman created a soaring vertical piece visible from the elevator lobby – magnolias and dogwoods bloom across the canvas, a subtle nod to Georgia’s native flora. Pam Moxley’s dreamlike sepia-toned photography adorns the walls, stirring feelings of nostalgia and the languid warmth of Southern summers.

“As the heart of our operation, Atlanta is more than just a hub—it’s our home. This new space is thoughtfully designed to ensure that guests traveling through Atlanta feel the Southern hospitality of the city we know and love,” said Claude Roussel, V.P. of Delta Sky Club and Lounge Experience. “The opening of our newest Delta Sky Club in Atlanta – during what happens to be both Delta and ATL’s Centennial year – is a testament to our unwavering commitment to this city and the customers we serve here.”

Design-forward, yet highly functional, the lounge also features a panoramic media wall for immersive viewing, a 16-seat central bar for convivial conversation, and sound-proof phone booths designed for moments of focus and privacy. For those looking to unwind, floor-to-ceiling windows offer runway views and bring in swathes of light to offset the darker interiors.

Two thoughtfully placed beverage stations and an expansive food buffet ensure that every culinary craving is met—whether it’s a quick bite between connections or a relaxed pre-flight indulgence.

This opening forms part of Delta’s multi-year investment in Atlanta, which includes the broader expansion of Concourse D—introducing more gates and enhancing infrastructure to accommodate larger aircraft and streamline passenger flow. Complementary upgrades are also on the horizon for Delta Sky Clubs in Concourses A and C, reaffirming Delta’s commitment to redefining the premium airport experience.

The new Sky Club in Concourse D and other Club enhancements in ATL are just the start of what’s to come for the Delta Sky Club network in 2025 and beyond. Later this year, Delta will open a Delta One Lounge and new Delta Sky Club in Seattle on Concourse A, with Salt Lake City welcoming their second Club on Concourse B. The Delta Sky Club in PHL will be expanded in late 2025, with Denver to follow in 2026.
