Arajet enters the US market

After receiving authorization from the US DOT following a two-year wait, Arajet will start services between the Dominican Republic and the United States as of April 11th, with a new route to Miami. At the moment, flights will be operated from Santo Domingo, one of the airline’s bases in the country.

The entry into the United States is a significant step for Arajet, as it reinforces its hub in the Dominican Republic. From now on, Arajet will compete with other Latin American airlines for flights between Latin America and the United States, such as Aeromexico, Avianca, Copa Airlines, LATAM and SKY Airline. In addition, Arajet is usually characterized by low prices, so there will be strong competition in this market.

Miami, New York (EWR, JFK and/or SWF) and San Juan are the destinations authorized by the US DOT.
