British Airways has yet another drug-related crew incident on its hands as a flight attendant started to dance nude in a lavatory from San Francisco to London Heathrow, requiring him to be restrained for the remainder of the flight.
The incident occurred on Sunday, May 25th on BA’s SFO-LHR route when the crew member suddenly went missing at the beginning of service, following which he appeared high as a kite and started to dance naked in the Business Class cabin.
It’s already the second drug-related matter in a short period of time, following a British Airways pilot who admitted to consuming cocaine during a layover in Cape Town and who was subsequently fired from the airline.

Now there is this situation involving a cabin steward as reported by The Sun and other major publications:
British Airways steward found dancing naked in business class after ‘drugs binge’ before flight from US to London
A BRITISH Airways crew member was found dancing naked in a business class toilet at 30,000ft.
The steward is suspected of using drugs before the incident, which happened as he was supposed to be serving an in-flight meal.
Colleagues searched the aircraft when he went missing as they handed out food and drinks on the busy jet to London’s Heathrow from the US.
The in-flight crew boss was then stunned to find him completely naked and jigging up and down in the Club World cabin loo.
He was bundled into a spare pair of pyjamas reserved for First Class passengers on the flight from San Francisco.
The steward was then escorted to the First Class cabin, where he was buckled into a luxury seat for the remainder of the ten-and-a-half hour journey.
BA bosses alerted cops, who met the double-decker Airbus A380-800 on landing at 11am last Sunday to arrest him.
He also received medical attention and was taken from the plane — which had around 470 passengers and crew on board — in a wheelchair.
Angry crew members had to work the entire flight without breaks to cover for him.
The steward was suspended from duty while investigations continue. …
It’s unclear what leads someone who is usually a responsible adult to suddenly pop a few pills while on duty and go completely nuts.
What boggles the mind even more is why he would go to an international airport with drugs in his possession, as there are plenty of opportunities for the illicit substances to be discovered by a K9 unit.
Did he obtain the drugs in San Francisco while being on his layover?
It’s pretty obvious that nobody is happy about this. The individual will 100% lose his job and face personal repercussions from this incident. British Airways has another embarrassment on their hands, and the entire crew had to work harder because they were one staff member short, who was restrained in a makeshift straitjacket made out of First Class Pyjamas, seated (tied up) in BA First.
Conclusion
A British Airways flight attendant suddenly disappeared on a flight from San Francisco to London, and after conducting a search, the purser found him drugged up and dancing naked in a Club World lavatory of the Airbus A380.
The crewmember had to be restrained and was placed in a First Class seat for the remainder of the flight, which turned out to be quite long as the incident happened in the early stages when the meal was supposed to be served.
Just as I said in the case of the drunk Japan Airlines crews, it’s time that airlines tighten their control over crewmembers during layovers and start cracking down on illicit behavior. This includes regular alcohol and drug tests.
