ITA Airways Triple Volare Points To Rome (FCO) From Select Destinations May 6 – June 30, 2025

Today, ITA Airways has launched yet another Volare points promotion, this time for TRIPLE POINTS from select ITA Destiations to Rome with a limited travel window that ends on June 30th.

To be eligible, ITA Volare customers have to purchase their ticket ex Athens, Bangkok, Delhi, Riyadh, Jeddah, or Dubai between May 6 and 31st, 2025, and fly through June 30, 2025.

Recently there have been quite a few of these Volare promotions and of course a lot of changes to the program itself after the airline exited SkyTeam and now cooperates closer with the Lufthansa Group and some individual airline partners.

ITA is also slated to join Star Alliance sometime in Spring/Summer 2026 if everything goes well.

The promotion came via email, and the link in the email is simply directing you to the booking page:

Fly to Rome with our latest special promotion!

If you purchase a ticket departing from Athens, Bangkok, Delhi, Riyadh, Jeddah or Dubai with final destination Rome Fiumicino between the period from the 6th of May to the 31st of May 2025 and fly between the period from the 6th of May to the 30th of June 2025, you will receive TRIPLE non-qualifying Volare Points 💙

What are you waiting for?

These are rather obscure destinations for a promotion like this. They must not be selling very well!? Although recently, there have been quite a few interesting fares to/from Bangkok with ITA.

I’d love to give them a try as I really like Rome (aside from the obscene hotel rates), but I’ll probably hold off until they are firmly back in an alliance. I’m not convinced that collecting Volare points is a very good value.

This really makes me wonder how well ITA is doing commercially at the moment. I see lots of people flying them due to the big fare sales, and the in-flight product looks nice in business class. Is ITA actually going to pull something off, or will they eventually go the way of all Alitalia clones in the past?

Conclusion

ITA Airways from Italy (ex Alitalia) has opened up yet another promotion, this time for triple Volare points from some exotic destinations to Rome.

Athens, Bangkok, Delhi, Riyadh, Jeddah or Dubai flights will earn triple points when the ticket is purchased from now until the end of May with a travel window through the end of June.

Is this a very good way of earning points? Hard to say, really. How much do you use ITA? You can already collect Miles&More miles when flying them, but of course not with a 3X multiplier. Still, I’d probably argue that your points are better vested with M&M compared to Volare.
