When I entered the SH Force, we had Puma Wessex & Chinook all operating at a sky high tempo & serviceability, mostly sky high morale and maintaining ops on multiple fronts. And Merlin was on the horizon, hurrah!
25 odd years down the road Wessex is an ancient memory, Merlin a fleeting rug-pull, Puma about to go, Chinook is an ancient leaky beast. I never wish to fly such an utterly unreliable aircraft again. A flying emergency.
