Sporty Blue Islands ATR72 OEI Landing at Birmingham May 2025



A Blue Islands Avions de Tranport Regional ATR-72-212A, registration G-ISLO performing flight SI-2265 from Birmingham,EN to Jersey,CI (UK), was climbing out of Birmingham’s runway 33 when the crew stopped the climb at FL080 and shut the right hand engine (PW127F) down. The aircraft returned to Birmingham for a safe landing on runway 33 about 40 minutes after departure. The aircraft briefly stopped at the end of the runway for an inspection before taxiing to the apron.

The aircraft is still on the ground in Birmingham about 26 hours after landing.
