United Unveils United Polaris Studio Aboard New Dreamliners – FlyerTalk

United Polaris Cabin

Polaris is no longer the top choice aboard United Airlines flights, as the carrier will soon launch United Polaris Studio Suites aboard Elevated Interior flights expected by the beginning of 2026.

The true first class experience is coming back to United Airlines by 2026.

The airline announced the launch of their Elevated Interior with the United Polaris Studio seating, a top-end product launching out of San Francisco International Airport (SFO).

Polaris Studio Features Privacy Doors, Companion Ottoman, and Larger Screen

The Elevated Interiors will come installed on United’s new deliveries of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The first one is expected to join the fleet by the end of 2025, with the first passenger flights departing in the early 2026.

The eight Polaris Studio seats will be positioned in the first row of each business class section and will come with exclusive benefits. The seats are 25% larger than the standard Polaris seat, each outfitted with an ottoman seat for companions, a 27-inch in-flight entertainment screen and a privacy door. During the flight, flyers will be treated to Ossetra caviar amuse-bouche service, as well as exclusive meal selections.

Not to be outdone, United Polaris seats on the new aircraft will be upgraded with a 19-inch in-flight entertainment screen and privacy doors. Between the two seating options, United will offer 99 total premium seats, which the airline claims is the highest percentage among U.S. carriers.

“We already deliver a superior international experience and fly to the most places across the Atlantic and Pacific – these new innovations provide a more premium experience overall, give customers even more reasons to choose United, and set our airline up to grow into the next decade and beyond,” Andrew Nocella, EVP and chief commercial officer at United, said in a press release. “We never stand still and are always looking for more ways to set ourselves apart from other carriers. And we’re confident this elevated experience will take international flying to new heights.”

When the first aircraft enter the fleet with the Elevated Interior, they will both be based out of San Francisco. The first flights will operate out of the West Coast hub to Singapore and London. By 2027, the airline expects to have 30 aircraft with the Elevated Interior.
