Wizz Air moving to cashless onboard payments

NEWS FLASH

Wizz Air has announced it is moving to cashless payments for all services onboard its aircraft from next Tuesday, April 1. Travellers flying Wizz Air will be able to pay for snacks, drinks and other amenities using Visa and Mastercard – both debit and credit. Another new feature is the option to pay with Revolut cards, which expands the available payment options for passengers. In addition, the carrier is introducing support for Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Android Pay and Google Pay, which will allow for fast and convenient payments from smartphones. “The decision to switch completely to cashless payments is aimed at improving service on board and increasing transaction security. Thanks to the new payment methods, travellers will not have to worry about having the right currency or storing cash during the flight”, the airline said. The change will affect all routes operated by Wizz Air.
