Members of the public have an opportunity to take free test drives in several electric vehicles during Saturday’s 2025 Little River Earth Fest at Little River Canyon Center.
Donohoo Chevrolet is collaborating with the Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition and Drive Electric Alabama to display a variety of EVs at Saturday’s event. The dealership intends to showcase Chevy’s EV lineup, which includes crossovers, SUVs and full-sized pick-up trucks.
“The fact that a majority of Alabamians have never sat in or driven an electric vehicle is what makes this opportunity so special,” said Alabama Clean Fuels Coalition President Michael Staley. “People can get behind the wheel and gain first-hand experience with an EV for the first time. Nothing beats real-world experience.”
Anyone wishing to test drive an EV will be required to provide an insurance card for a vehicle they own and a driver’s license. Electronic versions of an insurance card displayed through a cell phone app will be accepted.
“Our brand performance combined with strong incentive programs has resulted in a good number of first-time EV owners driving off our car lot very happy,” said Pete Donohoo, co-owner of Donohoo Chevrolet. “We are pleased to attend the Little River Earth Fest and provide an opportunity for interested individuals to evaluate how an EV can be a fun and cost-effective option that meets their transportation and budget-related needs.”
Members of Drive Electric Alabama chapters will also display a wide selection of EV makes and models at the Little River Earth Fest, which is free and open to the public.
The Little River Earth Fest will also feature live music, guided hikes, live animal presentations, hands-on crafts and more.
