Inaugural State Agency Job Fair to be held in Montgomery

The Alabama Department of Workforce, in partnership with the Alabama Personnel Department, WSFA News, and the City of Montgomery, will host a job fair aimed to increase hiring for state agencies on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 16-17, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Multiplex in Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.

This is an inaugural event for the agencies and is designed to recruit workers for multiple state agencies.

“This is a wonderful partnership between state agencies to address an issue that many around the state are facing,” said Alabama Department of Workforce Secretary Greg Reed. “Our charge at the Alabama Department of Workforce is to bring in more employees to meet demands of industry in Alabama, and this is a great place to start – in our own backyard. We are excited about this collaboration and can’t wait to see positive results.”

“The State of Alabama has a wide range of positions offering highly competitive total compensation packages,” said Alabama Personnel Department Director Laury Morgan. “There are many opportunities for individuals of all levels of education and experience to join our workforce and immediately begin receiving all the wonderful benefits of state employment.  We encourage all candidates to come, not just to find a ‘job,’ but rather a career in service to our great State!”

“This job fair is a great opportunity for Montgomery residents and jobseekers across the region to connect with career opportunities in state government,” said Montgomery Mayor Steven L. Reed. “We’re proud to host this event at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl and applaud the Alabama Department of Workforce and the Alabama Personnel Department for making good-paying, stable jobs more accessible. We encourage everyone looking for new opportunities to take advantage of this initiative.”

As agencies register for the event, jobseekers can find a full listing of agencies and positions at: www.labor.alabama.gov/jobfair.

The job fair is free. Jobseekers and agencies are encouraged to pre-register online at this link. On-site registration for jobseekers will also be offered.
