Severe Thunderstorm Watch Update for Central and Southeastern Alabama Until 7:00 PM CDT : The Alabama Weather Blog


The National Weather Service in Birmingham has updated Severe Thunderstorm Watch 347, which remains in effect until 7:00 PM CDT this evening.

The watch has been cancelled for Chambers, Elmore, and Tallapoosa Counties. However, it continues for Barbour, Bullock, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, and Russell Counties.

Residents in the affected areas should remain weather aware, monitor local forecasts, and be prepared to take protective action if severe thunderstorm warnings are issued.
